Understanding the Module Dashboard
Overview
The Module Dashboard provides a detailed view of an individual module within an assessment type. While the Section Dashboard provides a high-level overview of the entire assessment, the Module Dashboard allows you to focus on a specific operational area and better understand its current maturity and performance.
Each module contains a collection of related questions that contribute to the overall module maturity rating. The Module Dashboard helps facilities identify strengths, opportunities for improvement and questions that may require further review.
As questions are updated and evidence is added, the Module Dashboard automatically updates to reflect the current position of the module.
What Information is Available on the Module Dashboard?
The Module Dashboard includes:
Module Description
Module Maturity Rating
Module Rating Graph
Individual Question Maturity Ratings
Question Progress Indicators
Together, these insights provide a comprehensive understanding of how the module is performing and where attention may be required.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open a Module
From the Section Dashboard, select any module to go to the Module Dashboard
This will open the Module Dashboard and display detailed information.
In the Top Right hand corner select the Module you want to review and it will display the information about that specific operational area.

Step 2: Review the Module Description
At the top of the Module Dashboard, you will see a description of the module and its purpose within the assessment.
The module description provides important context and helps users understand the types of systems, processes and activities that are being assessed within that area.
Step 3: Review the Module Maturity Rating
The Module Dashboard displays the module's overall maturity rating both numerically and graphically.
This maturity rating is automatically calculated from the individual question ratings within the module and provides a clear indication of how well systems and practices are currently embedded in that area.

Step 4: Review the Module Rating Graph
The Module Rating Graph provides a visual representation of the module's current maturity and allows users to quickly understand how the module is performing.
The graph can be particularly useful when comparing modules across an assessment and identifying areas that may require additional focus or resources.
Step 5: Review Individual Question Maturity Ratings
Each question within the module is displayed with its own maturity rating using a sliding maturity scale.
This allows users to quickly identify which questions are performing strongly and which questions may require further review or improvement.
Because every question contributes to the module's overall maturity rating, reviewing question-level performance is an important part of understanding the module's current position.

Step 6: Identify Opportunities for Improvement
Questions with lower maturity ratings often represent the greatest opportunities for improvement within the module.
Reviewing these questions can help facilities determine where resources, additional evidence or improvement activities may have the greatest impact on the module's overall maturity.
Step 7: Navigate to an Individual Question
Selecting an individual question from the Module Dashboard will open the Question Page.
The Question Page allows users to review and update maturity ratings, add notes and evidence, review improvement suggestions and add actions to an improvement plan.
Tips and Best Practice
Begin by reviewing the module's overall maturity rating before looking at individual questions. This provides important context and helps you understand the module's overall performance.
Pay particular attention to questions with lower maturity ratings, as these often provide the greatest opportunities to improve the module's overall maturity.
It is also worthwhile reviewing high-performing questions to understand what is working well within the module and whether those practices can be applied elsewhere within the facility.
Regularly reviewing the Module Dashboard will help ensure that information remains current and that improvement activities are focused on the areas of greatest need.
